Soft Curls

Want to get these curls? Here is how you do it!
Items used:

  • 2 inch curling iron
  • CHI heat protecting spray
  • Hair spray
  • (I also had to use a blowdryer and flat iron for my bangs)
Start off with hair that was not just washed. Wash your hair the day before your curl. (Hair that is a little greasy helps to hold the curls for a longer period of time)
Heat up your curling iron. While its heating up, spray all of your hair with heat protectant.
When the iron is heated separate your hair into 2-3 sections and begin at the bottom curling about 1-2 inches of hair at a time depending ow tight or lose your want your curls to look. After finishing each layer, spray some hair spray on the curls.
What I do to loosen them up a bit is stand and put my head upside down and i shake out my hair. After that i apply hair spray and thats it!
DO NOT BRUSH OUT. Brushing out will create waves of hair and not curls.

Ending Split Ends!

Trouble with split ends? The only way to get rid of your split ends is to get a hair cut BUT there are some steps you can take so that you can prevent more split ends in the future.
My personal routine is to use hair masks. At least three times a week I apply a coat of coconut oil to my hair and leave it on for about 2 hours. The longer you leave it on the better your results will be. I sometimes even sleep with it and wash it out in the morning. There are some alternatives though. I like to go on Pinterest and look up natural hair mask recipes but you can also go to any beauty store and buy pre made packages.
More helpful tips:
1.Try not to use so much heat on your hair but if you must, don't forget to use a heat protecting spray!
2.When brushing your hair, use a wide toothed comb to avoid ripping your hair.
3. While showering, apply conditioner to the tips of your hair and leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing. This will also help with split ends.

Winged Liner

Want the perfect wing? Here is your how to guide!
Step one: Make a straight line going from the end of your eye. Make it at an angle that follows the natural shape of your eye.
Step two: Connect another line to that one and connect it to your eyelid making a triangle.
Step three: Connect one last line to the second line you made and draw it to the point where your eyelashes end.
Step 4: Fill in the lines and you now have the perfect winged liner!

P.S. For a more classy look, go for matte eyeliner gel.

This picture is the perfect example of that natural summer look that people generally find difficult to achieve. The trick is to use very light makeup. For example, instead of using foundation, try using a BB cream that has SPF in it. It will blend with your skin while moisturizing and protecting it from the sun. To get that nice glow, use a bronzer with a bit of shine if you're going out during the day but matte if you're going out at night. Apply this to the indents under your cheek bones, on your temples, hairline, and around the sides of your nose to achieve a nice, beautiful glow (P.S. contouring also makes your face look more structured and a bit thinner). For eyes, use a light brown or golden shadow use it very lightly because a little can go a long way. If you decide to color in your brows, don't make them too dark. REMEMBER this is a natural look. You can then apply a light coat of mascara but don't forget to curl those lashes first. Finally, put on a matte nude, peach, or light pink lipstick. And BAM you have the perfect natural summer look.

Welcome to my Beauty Blog!

Since I was in middle school, I have always had a passion for hair and makeup so I thought, why not blog about it? I am a firm believer that women should be able to feel beautiful no matter what. How defined their cat liner is, doesn’t define how perfect she is! All jokes aside, each week I will help you achieve a different look and in addition, I will be trying out these looks on myself to share with all of you. I’m going to be sharing some tips and tricks that I have learned over the years and I will do my best to transform you into a Beauty Guru 2.0. I will also be posting some hair, skin, and nail care tips because makeup, hair styling, and nail painting can cause damage and it’s important to keep your body healthy. As the Beauty Guru, your wish is my command, so if there is a specific look that you'd like to see me thoroughly explain, leave me suggestions and I will try to make it happen. Stay tuned! I can’t wait to share my passion with all of you!
